After graduating with a degree in Visual Arts and Indigenous Studies, I’ve spent several years working in program and service delivery for Indigenous communities at the grassroots and national level. Over time, I became more involved in the field of justice and eventually found my career path in law. I graduated law school in 2019 and received my call to the bar in July 2020. I am now an Associate lawyer with Cochrane Saxberg Barristers & Solicitors.
I have always maintained a deep love for design and photography and now have 15+ years experience as a service contractor.
Clan Mother
Clan Mother Goods & Apparel is an Indigenous brand rooted in the culture, identity and people that have survived generations of colonial violence. My designs and creative visioning draw on the every day beauty found in ceremony, the water, the land and the brilliance that is Indigenous people.
Consulting
I provide valuable advice and guidance to practitioners, businesses, and organizations based on life experience and 15+ years track record of working with Indigenous clients and communities at the grassroots and national delivery levels. Areas of expertise include strategic planning, program implementation and delivery, marketing and branding, public engagement, and event planning.
Today, I provide consulting and design services for small- and large-scale businesses and organizations and have been privileged to act in speaker and facilitator roles for conferences, community events, and lectures.
In addition to developing new product for Clan Mother, I am also producing an all-Indigenous female podcast series, Gizhiiwekweg: Women Who Speak Clearly With A Strong Voice. Read more about the podcast via my blog.
The best advice was passed to me from my late father, Joseph Morrison:
“Live a good life and be proud of who you are.”
